Te mapa
Bur Dubai lies on the western bank of Dubai Creek, the saltwater inlet around which the city first developed. On a map the Creek is the main feature, a broad curving channel with Deira on the other side. Along the Bur Dubai waterfront, streets form a tight, irregular network of lanes, souks and courtyard houses, much finer-grained than the wide highways and large blocks that make up most of modern Dubai.
This is where you'll find the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, a restored quarter of lanes and wind-tower houses, as well as Al Fahidi Fort, the oldest building in the city. Wooden abras still cross the Creek between the Bur Dubai and Deira stations, as they have for generations. Just inland, the textile souk and the older commercial streets preserve the scale of the trading town that existed before the oil boom.
A Bur Dubai map poster shows both sides of the district: the narrow lanes near the water and the bigger roads farther inland leading toward the newer city. The Creek provides a strong, simple shape that anchors the composition. It shows Dubai at a smaller, older scale than most people imagine, which is why it works so well as a poster.
The inlet curves along the district's eastern edge in a broad band of open water, separating Bur Dubai from Deira and giving the map its main shape.
Close to the water, a cluster of very narrow lanes and courtyard plots marks the restored historic neighbourhood, one of the densest patches on the map.
Small ferry stations line the Creek bank, where traditional wooden boats cross to Deira, linking the souks on each side along a route that is centuries old.

Koteā ko Bur Dubai
For residents, long-time expatriates or visitors who spent evenings by the Creek, Bur Dubai represents the part of the city that feels lived-in. The poster works well in a home office or a hallway, and it makes a thoughtful farewell gift when someone leaves the Emirates.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to change, whether that is a street, a building or the year you arrived. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir looks especially good with the dark water of the Creek.
