Te mapa
Câmara de Lobos lies just west of Funchal, where a small rocky bay cuts into Madeira's steep southern coastline. On a map, the old town clusters tightly around the harbour, with narrow lanes running down to the water, while newer streets climb the slopes in switchbacks and terraces. Further west, the land rises abruptly to the cliff of Cabo Girão.
The town's fishing tradition is still visible in the colourful boats pulled up on the shore, and it is closely associated with espada, the black scabbardfish typical of Madeiran cooking. Winston Churchill painted the bay during a visit in 1950. Cabo Girão, within the municipality, is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, with a glass-floored viewpoint at the top.
A Câmara de Lobos map poster captures Madeira in miniature: a protected bay, a crowded waterfront and roads that twist upward through banana plantations and vineyards. The contrast between the sea and the steep land makes an expressive composition, especially in Noir or Blueprint, where the coastline reads with real sharpness.
The small, sheltered bay forms a neat curve at the heart of the town, with the densest and oldest streets gathered closely around it.
Roads and paths zigzag up the hillsides, following old agricultural terraces and giving the map a layered, stepped texture above the water.
West of town, the coast rises into a towering sea cliff, a dramatic break in the shoreline where streets simply stop at the edge.

Koteā ko Câmara de Lobos
Câmara de Lobos stays with visitors because of its setting, and it means even more to Madeirans and their families abroad. A map of the bay and hillsides is a subtle, elegant way to keep that place in view.
