Te mapa
Ciudad Satélite is a residential area in the urban region of Arequipa, in southern Peru. As the name suggests, it was built as a satellite neighbourhood beyond the historic centre, and its map shows the planned regularity typical of that kind of development. Blocks are laid out in orderly rows, with parks and main avenues breaking the pattern at intervals.
Arequipa sits in a high, arid valley overlooked by the volcano El Misti and the peaks of Chachani and Pichu Pichu. Neighbourhoods like Ciudad Satélite spread over the valley floor and lower slopes, where the dry ground makes streets stand out sharply. On the map, the district's tidy grid contrasts with the more irregular settlements that grew up around it.
A Ciudad Satélite map poster shows a planned part of a city better known for its white volcanic-stone centre. The regular blocks and small parks give it a calm, ordered look. In Classic black & white or Blueprint, the grid becomes a clean graphic, meaningful for the families who have made the neighbourhood home.
Streets are laid out in regular rows, reflecting the neighbourhood's origins as a planned satellite district rather than an organically grown one.
Small parks and wider avenues interrupt the grid at intervals, giving the neighbourhood open spaces and clear internal routes.
The district lies on the dry ground of the Arequipa valley, where the city spreads out under a horizon of volcanic peaks.

Koteā ko Ciudad Satelite
For people who grew up in Ciudad Satélite, the neighbourhood is home more than any tourist view of Arequipa. A map of its blocks and parks is a personal alternative to postcards of the historic centre.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are editable, and five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The digital package costs $9 and includes six print sizes without a watermark.
