Te mapa
Dabajuro is a town in the west of Falcón state, Venezuela, and the seat of the municipality of the same name. It lies in semi-arid country between the Paraguaná region and the Zulia border, along the main road that links Coro with Maracaibo. The landscape around it is dry and fairly open, marked by scrub vegetation, ranch land and the long straight roads typical of the region.
On the map, Dabajuro is laid out as a clear grid. Regular blocks spread out from the centre with little interruption, since flat ground put few obstacles in the way of the plan. The through road forms the town's main axis. On the outskirts the blocks become less regular and more loosely filled, before the streets give way to open land.
A Dabajuro map poster offers a clean example of a Venezuelan plains town: an orderly grid, one dominant highway and wide open space all around. In a single ink the composition is calm and geometric, with the regularity of the blocks set against the empty country beyond. It makes a quiet tribute to a place that many people from the region know as home.
The town centre is built as rows of rectangular blocks that repeat evenly in every direction, forming a crisp pattern at the heart of the map.
The main highway runs through the town as its longest line, linking it to the state capital in the east and to Zulia in the west.
Around the grid, the map opens onto semi-arid countryside with only a few roads crossing it, leaving broad empty areas that frame the town.
