Te mapa
Dazhong is the central town of Dafeng, a district of Yancheng on the coastal plain of northern Jiangsu. The land here is almost perfectly flat, much of it formed from former tidal flats and salt fields. The map reflects that: long straight roads, canals running in parallel and fields divided into regular rectangles stretching toward the Yellow Sea coast.
The town mixes older lanes along its waterways with wide modern avenues laid out as it expanded. Canals thread through the urban area and continue into the countryside, forming a network as important as the roads. To the east, the coastal wetlands of the Yellow Sea are home to a nature reserve known for its herds of Père David's deer.
A Dazhong map poster captures a landscape shaped by water management and land reclamation, where almost every line is straight and deliberate. In black and white, the grid of canals and fields around the town becomes a strong graphic pattern, with the denser urban core sitting at its centre like a knot that ties the lines together.
Parallel waterways cross the town and the surrounding plain, dividing the land into long strips and giving the map a rhythm of fine, evenly spaced lines.
Fields beyond the town follow the regular geometry of reclaimed coastal land, rectangles aligned with roads and drainage channels that run toward the sea.
East of the town lie the tidal flats and wetlands of the Yellow Sea coast, where a nature reserve protects Père David's deer among open marsh and grassland.
