Te mapa
Effiduase sits in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, northeast of Kumasi, in the rolling forest belt that covers much of the region's interior. On a map it reads as a compact core of closely set streets. Main roads leave the centre toward neighbouring towns and thin out quickly into lanes, compounds and cultivated plots.
The pattern is typical of market towns in this part of Ghana. There is a denser grid around the commercial heart, then looser, irregular blocks where homes follow the lie of the land. Small streams and low ridges decide where streets bend, so the drawing never settles into a strict geometry. The linework has a relaxed, hand-drawn quality as a result.
An Effiduase map poster keeps only what the plan itself says: roads, blocks and the edges where town meets field. In black and white the town becomes a quiet study of how a regional centre grows outward along its routes. For anyone with family or memories there, it is also a direct reminder of one specific place.
The busiest part of the drawing is where the main roads converge. It forms a tight cluster of short streets and blocks that anchors the whole composition.
Routes toward neighbouring Ashanti towns leave the centre in several directions. They give the map clear lines that pull the eye from the middle to the edges of the frame.
Beyond the core, the street network loosens into scattered lanes and open ground, so the poster fades out gradually rather than stopping at a hard boundary.

Koteā ko Effiduase
For people from Effiduase who now live in Kumasi, Accra or abroad, a map of the home town keeps its layout in view every day. The street pattern is familiar at a glance, even without labels, and it sits well in a hallway or study.
You can write your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a date that matters, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, framed if you like.
