Te mapa
El Paraíso is a town in the department of the same name, in south-eastern Honduras near the border with Nicaragua. It sits in upland country where valleys open between forested ridges. Roads from the town lead towards the frontier and to Danlí, the department's largest city. This setting gives the street plan a clear sense of place: a compact centre enclosed by rising ground.
The core follows the Spanish colonial pattern of a regular grid around a central square with its church, a layout shared by many Central American towns. A few blocks out, the streets bend to follow slopes and streams, and the grid gives way to irregular lanes and scattered houses. An El Paraíso map poster balances these two geometries in a single frame.
The department is one of the main coffee-growing areas of Honduras, and the hills around the town are covered in farms and smallholdings. On the map, this countryside appears as winding rural roads and field boundaries that follow the shape of the land. They form a gentle frame of fine lines around the denser centre.
A regular block pattern surrounds the main plaza. The plaza is the traditional heart of the town and the point from which its oldest streets were laid out.
The town sits on lower ground between hills. The way its streets curve and end against the slopes gives the poster a natural, enclosed composition.
Roads leaving El Paraíso head towards Danlí and the Nicaraguan frontier. They draw long lines out of the centre that hint at the town's position near an international border.

Koteā ko El Paraíso
Hondurans abroad often keep a strong attachment to their hometown, and El Paraíso is no exception. A clean map of its streets can mark a family origin, a wedding in the town's church or years spent in the coffee hills.
