Te mapa
Esperanza is a municipality in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region, set on the coast of Masbate island. From above it shows a pattern common to island towns in this part of the Philippines: a small, compact centre close to the sea, a coastal road linking it to neighbouring barangays, and a green, lightly settled interior of farmland and low hills.
The shoreline is the most striking feature on the map. It bends around coves and small headlands, and the sea takes up a large share of the frame. Inland, the road network is sparse, with a few main routes and tracks leading to scattered settlements.
An Esperanza map poster captures that balance between coast and countryside. With its town centre, winding coastline and the wide water beside it, a small municipality makes a clean, spacious composition. It is a quiet subject, and for families from Masbate living elsewhere in the country or abroad, a meaningful one.
The shore curves around small bays and points of land. On the poster these bends create a strong, organic edge against the open water.
The poblacion forms a small cluster of streets near the sea. It is the most detailed part of the map and anchors the composition.
A road follows the shoreline to link the town with nearby barangays. Its long line ties the scattered settlements into a single shape.

Koteā ko Esperanza
Many people from the islands of Bicol now live in Manila, Cebu or overseas. A map of Esperanza keeps the shape of home on the wall: the sea, the centre and the road along the coast.
