Te mapa
Evergreen Park is a village on the southwest side of Chicago, bordered by the city on most of its sides. On a map, it looks almost like a neighbourhood of Chicago itself, because the city's famous grid runs straight through it without interruption, block after block.
Within this grid, a few features stand out. Large cemeteries occupy wide areas at the edges of the village, appearing as open spaces among the dense streets. Major arterial roads mark the main lines of the grid, and Evergreen Plaza, one of the country's earliest shopping centres when it opened in the 1950s, gave the village a regional reputation.
An Evergreen Park map poster shows the discipline of the Chicago grid in miniature: tight rectangular blocks, straight avenues and the calm open areas of parks and cemeteries. The result is a clean, geometric composition that feels both local and connected to the larger city around it.
The city's street grid continues through the village without a break, creating a regular pattern of long blocks and straight avenues across the map.
Large cemeteries along the village's edges form broad open areas, giving the dense grid a set of quiet, rectangular pauses.
Major roads mark the primary grid lines, running straight through Evergreen Park and connecting it to the surrounding Chicago neighbourhoods.

Koteā ko Evergreen Park
Evergreen Park is a close-knit village with a strong sense of place, even within the larger city. For residents and those who grew up there, a map poster captures the blocks and avenues that defined everyday life.
Add a title and subtitle in your own words, and choose from five styles. Blueprint suits the grid particularly well. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
