Te mapa
Fårö sits just off Gotland's northern tip across a narrow strait, crossed by a free car ferry. From above it looks low and open, with a coastline of wide sandy bays in the north and east and long shingle shores elsewhere. Its roads are few and straight, running between small farms, heathland and pine forest. There is no town, only scattered buildings spread across the island.
Fårö is known for its raukar, limestone sea stacks shaped by waves into tall, weathered columns along the shore. The film director Ingmar Bergman lived on the island for decades, shot several films here, and is buried in the churchyard. Each summer a week devoted to his work draws visitors across the strait.
A Fårö map poster is spare and horizontal, almost a drawing of weather. There is the thin line of the ferry crossing, a few country roads and the long curved beaches, all set against the Baltic. For anyone who has spent a slow summer here, the empty space on the map says as much as the lines.

A long, smooth arc of sand on the east coast forms one of the island's widest bays. It is the gentlest curve along the whole shoreline.
Stretches of the coast are lined with raukar, limestone stacks standing just offshore. On the map they appear as the most broken, textured parts of the coast.

Koteā ko Fårö
Fårö is hung by film lovers, by Gotland summer regulars and by people who value its sparseness. The poster keeps that sense of open space, and the Paper and Noir styles each suit the island's black-and-white film associations in their own way.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a summer or a year, and your own coordinates, then choose one of five styles. The $9 download gives 300 DPI PNGs and print-ready PDFs, or you can order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
