Te mapa
Geneva sits on the Fox River about forty miles west of Chicago and serves as the county seat of Kane County. The river runs north to south through town, and on a map it divides Geneva into two halves joined by bridges. The downtown occupies the western bank, a compact grid of blocks around Third Street, where the historic Kane County courthouse stands.
The Fox gives the map its most graceful line, with islands and green banks along much of its course through town. Riverside parks and forest preserves follow the water, including Fabyan Forest Preserve to the south, known for its Dutch windmill and Japanese garden. Beyond the centre, residential streets spread outward in a mix of older grids and curving later subdivisions.
Geneva was settled in the 1830s and later attracted a large Swedish community, a heritage still celebrated each summer at Swedish Days. The Metra Union Pacific West line runs through town toward Chicago. A Geneva map poster shows all of this in a single frame: river, bridges, downtown grid, rail line and the open corridors that follow the water.
The river runs through the middle of Geneva, and the bridges that span it tie the two halves of town together, forming the backbone of the whole map.
On the west bank, a compact grid of historic blocks surrounds Third Street and the county courthouse, the densest and most detailed part of the poster.
Parks and forest preserves line the Fox, among them Fabyan Forest Preserve with its windmill and Japanese garden, adding broad open shapes along the water.

Koteā ko Geneva
Geneva is the kind of town people settle in on purpose, for the river walks, the old downtown and the train ride into Chicago. A map poster marks that choice, whether you grew up here, bought a first house or were married along the Fox.
Add a title and a date in the subtitle, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files, and printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
