Te mapa
Goianésia do Pará is a young municipality in south-eastern Pará. Like many towns in the region, it grew up along a highway, and its layout reflects that. A main road runs through it, with a grid of residential blocks on either side. From above, the town is a neat rectangular patch cut into land shaped by farming and clearing.
The countryside around it has its own pattern. Long straight side roads run off towards farms, leaving a comb-like layout that is typical of frontier settlement in the Amazon. Rivers and streams move through the land more freely, with thin strips of forest often following their courses. In monochrome, the straight lines of human settlement and the curves of water sit side by side.
A Goianésia do Pará map poster is a record of a place that is still being built, drawn at the same care and scale as a much older city. It suits people who arrived here from other states, as the name suggests many did, and people who were born in the town and grew up with it.
The main road runs straight through the town and organises its growth. It is the backbone of the map and the reason the town exists.
Residential streets form a regular grid on either side of the highway, creating a compact, orderly shape in the middle of the frame.
Long side roads branch out from the main routes towards farms, forming the parallel pattern typical of settlement on the Amazon frontier.

For families who moved to Pará to start again, this map shows the place they chose and helped shape. It makes a considered gift for parents or grandparents who remember when the town was just a few streets.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be edited. You can choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Classic keeps the grid clean, while Sand adds warmth to the open land around it.
