Goodings Grove is a community in Will County, Illinois, in the suburbs southwest of Chicago near Homer Glen and Lockport. Much of it lies within the village of Homer Glen today, but the name is still widely used locally. On a map the area follows the typical Midwestern pattern: straight roads on the survey grid enclose large square sections.
Within those squares, the streets do something different. Subdivisions built over recent decades use curving drives, loops and cul-de-sacs, often arranged around retention ponds.
