Te mapa
Gwoza lies in the southeast of Borno State in northeastern Nigeria, close to the border with Cameroon. Its setting is what defines it from above. The town spreads over the flat land along the western edge of the Mandara Mountains, and the hills rise just beyond the last streets. On a map, the built-up area stops against a band of broken, higher ground.
The Gwoza Hills are part of the Mandara range, which runs along much of the Nigeria–Cameroon border. Communities have long lived both on the plain and on the slopes above it. The town serves as the administrative centre of its local government area, and roads connect it north toward Maiduguri's wider region and south along the mountain edge.
A Gwoza map poster records a town defined by where it stands: at the meeting of plain and upland. Streets are drawn more loosely here than in a large city, with open compounds and tracks between them. Printed in a single tone, that loose pattern reads as something lived in and practical, and the mountains stay present at the margin even where the map shows only roads.
The Mandara Mountains rise immediately east of the town, and the street pattern thins out where the plain gives way to rocky high ground.
Blocks are loose and irregular, with space between compounds, giving the map a lighter and more open texture than a dense town centre.
The main roads follow the foot of the hills, tracing the line where settlement and mountain meet on the flat land to the west.

Koteā ko Gwoza
Gwoza is home for many families across Borno and beyond, including some who now live far from it. A poster of its streets and its hills gives them a way to keep the town close, drawn simply and without decoration.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name, a year or a few words in any language, and adjust the coordinates line. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let the print match a bright room or a darker wall.
