Te mapa
Ino lies just west of Kochi City in Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku, where the clear Niyodo River leaves the mountains and approaches the plain. The town centre sits on flatter ground near the river. From above, the Niyodo is the defining line, curving past the town while forested hills rise on the surrounding slopes.
Ino has long been a centre of Tosa washi, the traditional handmade paper of the region, and the town’s paper museum presents the craft and its history. Ino is also the western terminus of the Tosaden tram line from central Kochi, so on the map the town appears at the end of a line stretching out from the prefectural capital.
An Ino map poster pairs the broad curve of the Niyodo with the compact streets of the town and the tram and road corridors heading toward Kochi. For a place so closely tied to paper, a fine-line print on matte paper feels especially fitting, and the monochrome styles suit the clean shape of the river valley.
The Niyodo, known for the clarity of its water, sweeps past the town in a wide curve and forms the strongest natural feature on the poster.
The Tosaden tram line from central Kochi ends in Ino. Its route is drawn as a long line that ties the town to the prefectural capital.
Green slopes rise around the town and valley. Their edges set limits on where streets could spread and give the map a soft, enclosed frame.
