Te mapa
Ishigaki is the main town of the Yaeyama Islands, closer to Taiwan than to mainland Japan. The urban area sits on the southern coast of Ishigaki Island, around a harbour protected by reefs. From above it forms a dense grid of low streets packed against the waterfront, with reclaimed port land and ferry piers reaching out into the lagoon.
Inland the island rises to Mount Omoto, the highest peak in Okinawa Prefecture, and the north-west coast curves around Kabira Bay, known for its turquoise water. The town's port is the ferry hub for nearby islands such as Taketomi and Iriomote. The island is also known for Ishigaki beef and for its coral reefs.
An Ishigaki map poster brings together the tight grid of the harbour town, the ragged edges of the reef-lined coast and the quieter roads that cross the island's farmland and hills. It suits divers, travellers and anyone who has spent time in the Yaeyama islands and wants a reminder that is more restrained than a photograph.
The port and ferry terminal push out into the lagoon with long piers and reclaimed land, forming sharp geometric shapes against the water.
South of the town, fringing reefs and shallow lagoons shape an irregular shoreline that gives the poster a detailed, organic edge.
Roads climb from the coast through farmland toward the forested slopes of Mount Omoto, thinning into a few winding lines.

Koteā ko Ishigaki
Ishigaki is often the place where a trip to Okinawa becomes something more: a first dive, a honeymoon, a long stay between islands. A map of its harbour and coast keeps that memory in an understated form.
Edit the title and subtitle, add the dates of your visit, or change the coordinates line. Five styles are available, and Blueprint and Sand in particular suit an island setting. Classic black & white, Noir and Paper round out the set.
