Te mapa
Kings Park is a hamlet in the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County, on the North Shore of Long Island. Its northern edge meets Long Island Sound. To the east, the Nissequogue River winds through salt marsh before reaching the water. Sunken Meadow State Park lies to the west, and the Long Island Rail Road passes through the hamlet on its way east.
On a map the residential streets are dense and curving, typical of mid-twentieth-century Long Island suburbs. A small commercial area sits near the railroad station. To the north, the grounds of the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center are now Nissequogue River State Park. They show as a large open area with scattered roads. The river's marshy bends and the long beach of Sunken Meadow add striking natural shapes.
A Kings Park map poster works for families who have lived here for generations and for those who have moved on. The composition has a lot going on: a tight suburban grid, a winding tidal river, large parks and a clear shoreline, all within a few miles.

To the west, Sunken Meadow State Park adds a long beach and a clear coastline along the Sound, framing the map's northern edge.

Kings Park is a place people often remember in detail: the station, the bluffs, summer days at Sunken Meadow. A map of these streets makes a thoughtful housewarming or graduation gift, or a reminder of home after a move.
