Lahbab Map Poster & Print

Lahbab lies in the interior of the Emirate of Dubai, southeast of the city, along the road toward Hatta. On a map it looks nothing like Dubai's coast. Its few roads and small settlements run across open desert, and most of the image is empty sand.

The area is best known for its dunes, especially the reddish sand that draws desert safaris and dune-driving trips from the city. The dunes do not appear on a street map, but their presence explains why the roads run as they do, straight across the flat stretches and around the harder terrain. Small residential areas and camps appear as compact clusters of streets.

A Lahbab map poster is a minimal image of a desert landscape. The long highway, a few side roads and the surrounding void make it a reminder of evenings in the dunes rather than a record of dense streets.

01

Hatta road

The main highway toward Hatta runs through the area as the clearest line on the map, with side roads branching off to settlements and camps.

02

Red dune country

Lahbab is known for its reddish dunes. The poster shows them as wide empty spaces between the few roads.

03

Small settlements

Compact residential clusters sit apart in the desert, each a small knot of streets surrounded by open sand.

He mapa ʻe maʻuhiga

The poster suits people who have spent evenings on a desert safari, residents of Dubai's outskirts, and anyone who likes sparse, minimalist maps. The empty space is the design.

You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with the date of a trip, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand is the natural choice for the dunes.
