Te mapa
Montgomery is a village on the Fox River at the southern edge of Aurora, about forty miles west of Chicago. The river runs north to south through its older core, and bridges carry the main roads across the water. Around this spine, the village has grown outward over former farmland.
Its map tells two stories. Close to the river, a small historic grid survives from the nineteenth-century mill and railroad era. Further out, newer neighbourhoods follow the curving streets and cul-de-sacs typical of suburban growth in the Chicago region. Straight section-line roads frame everything, a reminder of the prairie survey underneath.
A Montgomery map poster brings these layers into a single frame. The Fox River draws a clear line down the sheet, the older blocks sit close to its banks, and looping residential streets fill the space around them. The result is a balanced composition that suits both a hallway and a home office.
The river flows through the heart of the village. It is the strongest natural line on the map, crossed by bridges that tie east and west together.
The oldest streets form a compact grid near the water, built when mills and rail lines drove the local economy.
Long straight roads on the mile grid frame the newer subdivisions and give the poster a firm outer structure.

Koteā ko Montgomery
Montgomery is where many families settle for the river, the parks and the commute into the wider Chicago area. A poster of its streets marks a first house, a childhood address or a place that quietly became home.
