Te mapa
Nguékhokh lies in the Mbour department of Senegal's Thiès Region, a short distance inland from the Petite Côte. The main road from Dakar toward Mbour and the south passes close by, and the town has grown along that corridor. From above, its streets form a loose grid of sandy blocks that fades into fields and scattered trees at the edges.
The surrounding land is flat and open, with farmland, baobabs and small villages linked by tracks. Growth along the corridor between Dakar and the coastal resorts has brought new housing to many towns in this area. On the map it shows as regular, recently laid-out blocks beside older, more irregular neighbourhoods.
A Nguékhokh map poster shows a town still taking shape: the road as a spine, a compact older centre, and new streets pushing outward into the savanna. The composition is simple and open, with plenty of pale space, so the pattern of blocks and roads reads clearly in any of the five styles.
The route linking Dakar with Mbour and the Petite Côte runs through the area. It draws shops, stations and traffic into a single strong line across the map.
Residential streets form a loose, mostly rectangular pattern of unpaved blocks, with compounds along them and small open lots in between.
Beyond the town, flat farmland dotted with trees and small villages stretches in every direction, leaving wide, quiet margins around the built-up area.
