Te mapa
Orange Walk Town is the main town of Orange Walk District in northern Belize, built along the west bank of the New River. From above, the river curves along one side of the town, while the Philip Goldson Highway runs through it, and a regular grid of streets fills the space between them.
The town has long been the centre of Belize's sugar industry, and cane fields surround it in every direction. Upriver, the New River leads to the Maya site of Lamanai, one of the longest occupied ancient cities in the region and a common day trip by boat from town.
An Orange Walk map poster combines a river, a highway and a tidy grid. The New River softens the eastern edge, while the streets form clean rectangular blocks. Around the town, farmland and waterways spread out in the lowland. It is a clear and balanced layout that prints beautifully in black and white.
The river runs along the eastern side of town, a slow curving line that gives the map a natural edge and leads upstream toward Lamanai.
The Philip Goldson Highway passes straight through Orange Walk, the main route between Belize City and the Mexican border and the town's commercial spine.
Between the river and the highway, the streets form an orderly grid of blocks, easy to follow and clearly defined on the poster.
