Te mapa
Otofuke lies in the Tokachi region of eastern Hokkaido, directly north of Obihiro across the Tokachi River. Its map shows one of the clearest examples of Hokkaido's settler-era planning: a regular grid of roads and field boundaries laid over the flat plain, with the town's residential streets forming a denser patch inside that larger pattern.
The Tokachi Plain is one of Japan's most important farming areas, known for dairy, potatoes, beans and sugar beet, and Otofuke shares in that landscape. Beside the river lies Tokachigawa Onsen, a hot spring area known for its moor water, which draws its colour from plant-rich deposits beneath the plain.
An Otofuke map poster turns this order into a quiet graphic. Straight lines run in two directions almost to the edge of the page, broken only by the curves of the Tokachi and its tributaries. The effect is calm and architectural, and it looks as good in a minimal room as in a family home.
Roads and farm plots follow a strict rectangular grid laid out during the settlement of Hokkaido, producing a pattern of squares that stretches across the plain.
The river marks the town's southern edge and its boundary with Obihiro, winding in broad bends that soften the straight lines of the grid.
The hot spring district by the river is known for its amber-coloured moor water, a type of spring that is rare in Japan, and forms a small cluster on the map.

Koteā ko Otofuke
Otofuke suits anyone connected to Tokachi, whether through farming, family or time spent living near Obihiro. The grid has a satisfying, almost abstract quality, so the poster reads as a design piece first and a map second, which makes it easy to place in any room.
Add a custom title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a family name or the year you moved, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files come in six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
