Heritage trail villages
Along the Ping Shan Heritage Trail, walled villages and clan buildings form tight clusters of short lanes. They stand out clearly against the open land and modern roads around them.

Te mapa
Ping Shan lies in Yuen Long District, in the northwest New Territories, between the older market town of Yuen Long and the planned new town of Tin Shui Wai. Its map is a study in contrast. Small, irregular village lanes sit on one side, the large regular blocks of Tin Shui Wai's estates on the other, joined by light rail and main roads.
The area is the historic home of the Tang clan, one of the major lineages of the New Territories. The Ping Shan Heritage Trail links walled villages, study halls, the Tang Ancestral Hall and the Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda, generally described as the oldest surviving pagoda in Hong Kong. Few parts of the city show old and new layers so clearly side by side.
A Ping Shan map poster makes that contrast visible at a glance. The compact shapes of the walled villages sit beside wide arterial roads and the curves of the light rail. To the north, the wetlands around Deep Bay add soft, open space to the composition.

The Light Rail network curves through the area toward Tin Shui Wai and Yuen Long. Its smooth, rounded lines are unusual on a Hong Kong street map.
Next door, Tin Shui Wai's large planned blocks and wide roads create a regular pattern, which makes the older village fabric look even more intricate.

Koteā ko Ping Shan
It suits people from the Tang lineage villages, residents of Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai, and anyone who has walked the heritage trail. The map shows how one district holds centuries of settlement next to late twentieth-century planning.
Name it after your village or estate, add a subtitle and a date, and keep the coordinates line. Classic black & white and Blueprint suit the dense detail, while Paper softens it for a living room.
