Te mapa
Qingxi sits in the hill country of Chongqing, where flat land is scarce and streets follow the ground. From above, the town is a compact knot of lanes gathered in a fold of the terrain. Roads leave it along ridgelines and valley bottoms and never run straight for long, and fields and wooded slopes press in on the built edge.
Chongqing is known as a mountain municipality, and it shows even at the scale of a single township. The contour of the land decides where houses cluster, where terraces were cut and where a road can climb. On a monochrome print this turns into a pattern of short, curving strokes, dense in the middle and thinning quickly as the hills take over.
A Qingxi map poster keeps the everyday geography: the main street, the lanes that branch off it and the tracks winding out toward nearby villages. It has none of the scale of the big city on the Yangtze downstream. What it shows is the quieter rural side of the region, and in black and white that shape stays clear.
Roads follow valleys and ridges rather than a grid, so the street pattern bends and forks in ways that trace the hidden relief of the land.
The built-up centre is small and tightly packed, a dark cluster of lanes that loosens abruptly into scattered rural roads at its edges.
Thin lines radiate out toward surrounding farmland and hamlets, giving the composition a web-like outer ring around the dense middle.

Koteā ko Qingxi
For people from Qingxi or with family roots in rural Chongqing, this map records a place that big-city maps usually leave out. It works as a reminder of home, of a childhood street, or of the hills that shaped daily life.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a date, and the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
