Te mapa
San Antonio sits in southern Peru's Moquegua Department, on the dry ground beside the valley of the Moquegua River. From above, the contrast is strong. A narrow ribbon of irrigated farmland follows the river, and the town's grid of streets spreads across the barren slopes around it. On a monochrome print the green disappears, but the change in texture shows exactly where water reaches and where it stops.
Much of the street pattern looks planned. Blocks are laid out in long, regular rows, and the gaps between them are open ground that has not been built on yet. Roads climb gently away from the valley floor, and a few longer avenues connect the neighbourhoods to the older urban area of Moquegua nearby. The drawing shows a place still growing into its surroundings.
A San Antonio map poster is mostly about proportion: tight streets set against a lot of empty space. The Moquegua region is known for its valley vineyards and pisco. Most of the surrounding land is desert, though, and the map shows the settlement pressing its geometry into that dry terrain.
The Moquegua River valley runs as a narrow band past the town. On the map it separates the finely divided farmland on the valley floor from the open desert slopes where the streets are laid out.
Long, repeated rows of rectangular blocks make up much of the street pattern. They give the print a measured, almost architectural rhythm, broken only where the ground changes slope.
Around the edges, the streets simply stop and empty ground takes over. That hard boundary between built and unbuilt land is one of the most striking lines on the poster.

Koteā ko San Antonio
People who grew up in the Moquegua valley, or who moved away from it, often want something that shows its particular geometry: a green river strip and a new grid on dry hills. The map has a quiet, graphic look that suits a modern interior.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a family name or a moving date. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the desert setting especially well.
