Volcanic farmland
Small plots and stone-walled enclosures give the land around the town a fine, irregular texture, a pattern shaped by centuries of farming in volcanic ash and lapilli.

Te mapa
San Bartolomé lies in the middle of Lanzarote, a short drive inland from Arrecife. The town itself is modest in size, a loose cluster of low, whitewashed houses on streets that follow the gentle rise and fall of the ground. Around it, the map opens into a landscape of farmed plots, dark volcanic soil and the rounded shapes of old volcanic cones.
The municipality runs from the interior down to the south coast at Playa Honda, and Lanzarote's airport lies within its boundaries. At Mozaga, near the geographic centre of the island, stands the Monumento al Campesino. César Manrique designed this sculpture and farmhouse complex as a tribute to the island's farmers, who learned to grow crops in volcanic ash.
Seen from above, the farmland around the town is its most distinctive feature. Small fields and hollows, often sheltered by low stone walls, spread in a fine, irregular mosaic. A San Bartolomé map poster draws these patterns in thin lines. It offers an unusual view of how people have shaped a volcanic island by hand.

The municipality reaches the sea at Playa Honda, where a denser grid of streets meets the shoreline beside the airport runway.

Koteā ko San Bartolomé
Lanzarote is an island people return to, and San Bartolomé is where many of its roads meet. A map of the town suits anyone who lives here, stays each winter or remembers the drive past white houses and black fields toward the coast.
Give the poster your own title and a subtitle with the year of a trip or the name of a house. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand feels natural for a volcanic island, while Noir makes the lava fields especially striking.
