Te mapa
Schererville is in Lake County, in the northwest corner of Indiana, within the wider Chicago area. It calls itself the Crossroads of the Nation, because US Route 30, the historic Lincoln Highway, crosses US Route 41 here. On a map that intersection is the centre point, with commercial strips along both roads.
Around the crossroads, the town is mostly suburban housing. Curving streets, cul-de-sacs and ponds are set inside the larger grid of section-line roads that covers the Midwest. A Schererville map poster puts the straight main highways next to the looser, looping patterns of the residential areas.
In black and white, that difference in scale becomes the image. Long straight roads run across the frame, and small curling streets fill the spaces between them. It is a clear picture of how Midwestern suburbs have developed along historic routes.
US 30 and US 41 meet in Schererville, the source of its nickname. The intersection sits at the centre of the map, and the main commercial areas line both roads.
Straight roads spaced at regular intervals divide the land into large squares. This survey grid underlies much of northern Indiana.
Inside the grid, residential streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs, often around ponds. They create a finer, more organic texture on the map.

Schererville is where many families put down roots near Chicago, and the crossroads tends to be the first thing people mention about it. A map print turns an ordinary suburb into a personal landmark.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a family name or move-in year, and the coordinates, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 file is watermark-free, and printed posters are available too.
