Sejong Map Poster & Print
Sejong is South Korea's special administrative city, built from the early 2000s to take over many government ministries from Seoul. Its plan is unusual. Instead of growing out from one centre, the city is arranged as a ring of districts around a large open green core, with wide roads and transit links tying the ring together.
The Geum River crosses the city, and a large artificial lake park sits near the government area. On the map, it is all very clean and deliberate: generous curves, big blocks, green corridors and apartment districts arranged in tidy clusters, quite unlike the dense older cities of the peninsula.
The Government Complex Sejong is a long, winding series of connected buildings with a large rooftop garden along the top. A Sejong map poster shows a city designed on paper and then built in just a few decades, and it reads almost like an architectural drawing.
