Te mapa
Seogwipo covers the southern half of Jeju Island, and its city centre faces the sea along a stretch of coast shaped by old lava flows. On a map the town climbs from a small harbour up gentle slopes toward Hallasan, the dormant volcano at the centre of the island, with streets bending to follow the streams and ravines that cut down to the water.
Those ravines are what make the coast famous. Jeongbang Falls drops almost directly onto the shoreline, and Cheonjiyeon Falls sits at the head of a narrow gorge close to the harbour. Just offshore, the islet of Saeseom is linked to the port by a footbridge, and further west the planned Jungmun resort area spreads its hotels along cliffs and beaches.
A Seogwipo map poster brings together a jagged volcanic coastline, the fine street pattern of a harbour town and the open ground of citrus farms and forest running inland. Hallasan and other parts of Jeju's volcanic landscape are inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list, and even in plain lines the map shows how closely the town lives alongside that geology.
Streams from Hallasan reach the sea through short, steep gorges. Jeongbang and Cheonjiyeon falls lie within a few kilometres of the centre, appearing on the map as notches in the coastline.
The compact port is sheltered by breakwaters, and a pedestrian bridge crosses to the small islet of Saeseom, a rounded shape that anchors the southern edge of the composition.
North of the centre the street pattern fades into orchards and forest climbing toward the volcano, so the map shifts from dense blocks to open ground within a short distance.

Koteā ko Seogwipo
Seogwipo is a place people come to for honeymoons, family holidays and slow walks along the Jeju Olle trails, and a map is a quieter souvenir than a photograph. It records the whole coastline at once: the harbour, the falls and the road you drove along.
Add a title, a subtitle such as the dates of your trip, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download 300 DPI files in six sizes for $9 or order a matte print, framed if you like.
