Te mapa
Jeongeup is a city in North Jeolla Province in southwestern South Korea, set at the edge of the broad Honam plain. On a map, its urban core is fairly compact, built along the Jeongeupcheon stream and around a KTX station on the Honam line. Beyond the centre, rice fields and village roads spread across flat land, and to the south the terrain climbs quickly into mountains.
Two things bring most visitors here. Naejangsan National Park, on the city's southern side, is one of the country's best-known places to see autumn foliage, with maple-lined valleys and old temples. And Gobu, now part of Jeongeup, is where the Donghak Peasant Revolution began in 1894, a key event in modern Korean history.
A Jeongeup map poster brings together the dense central streets, the winding stream and the rail line running north to south. The pattern of roads loosens as the plain opens up. When the frame reaches toward Naejangsan, mountain roads snake into the valleys, giving the composition a clear contrast between farmland and forested ridges.
The stream curves through the city centre, and its banks form a green ribbon that divides the older districts from the newer ones.
The high-speed and conventional lines cross the city in a firm, straight band, with the station area forming a small hub of streets.
South of the city, roads thread into steep, wooded valleys of the national park. They appear as thin, winding lines among the empty mountainsides.

Koteā ko Jeongeup
Jeongeup is home to many families who have lived in the region for generations, and it is a regular stop for autumn hikers. A map poster keeps the city and its mountains together in one quiet image.
