Souzas Map Poster & Print
Souzas, also spelled Sousas, is a district of Campinas that lies east of the city centre along the Atibaia River. From above, the river is the main axis. The district's older streets gather near its banks, and newer residential areas spread up the surrounding hillsides.
The district grew up in the nineteenth century during the coffee era, and it keeps a small historic core around its main square and church. Today many residents of Campinas know it as a quieter, greener neighbourhood with a small-town feel, still close to the city.
