Westport Map Poster & Print
Westport lies on the Connecticut coast of Long Island Sound, in Fairfield County, roughly an hour or so from New York City. From above, its southern edge is a complicated shoreline of beaches, points, marshes and coves. The Saugatuck River cuts inland through the middle of town as a wide tidal estuary.
Away from the water, Westport is a wooded town of winding roads and large lots rather than a grid. Downtown sits along the Saugatuck. I-95 and the Metro-North railroad cross the southern part of town, and the Merritt Parkway runs through the north, following its own curving path.

Compo Beach curves along the shore of Long Island Sound. Its smooth line and the headland beside it are among the most recognisable shapes on the map.
