The map
Bat Yam sits on the Mediterranean coast immediately south of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, part of the continuous urban band of the Gush Dan metropolitan area. On the map it is compact and tightly packed: a strip of beach and promenade along the west, apartment blocks filling a regular street pattern behind it, and Holon pressing close on the eastern side.
The name means daughter of the sea in Hebrew, and the coast defines the city's identity. Its long public beaches and seafront promenade draw residents from across the region, while high-rise apartment towers along the shore have changed the skyline in recent decades. Bat Yam is one of the most densely populated cities in Israel.
A Bat Yam map poster emphasises that meeting of sand and street. The coastline runs as a single decisive line down the page, the sea left open and quiet, and the grid behind it dense with detail. It is an image of a city whose every street seems to lead, sooner or later, to the water.
A continuous path runs along the beaches on the city's western edge, framing the coastline as the clearest boundary on the map.
Behind the shore, blocks of apartments form a tight, regular network of streets, one of the most closely packed urban textures on the Israeli coast.
To the north the streets run straight into Jaffa and Tel Aviv without a visible break, showing how Bat Yam belongs to one continuous coastal city.

Why Bat Yam
People who grew up in Bat Yam, or who spent summers on its beaches, often have an attachment to a specific stretch of promenade. A map of the city captures that coastline exactly and makes a fitting gift for family living elsewhere.
Write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a street name or a wedding date, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 HD download or a printed, optionally framed poster.
