The map

About this Ramat Gan map poster

Ramat Gan lies directly east of Tel Aviv, separated from it by the Ayalon Highway and the Ayalon stream valley. From above, the boundary is almost invisible because the street network runs straight across it, so the city reads as part of one metropolitan fabric. Residential neighbourhoods of low apartment blocks surround a cluster of high-rise towers near the highway.

The city is home to the Israel Diamond Exchange, whose district of towers is one of the most recognisable skylines in the country, and to Bar-Ilan University. The large Ramat Gan National Park fills the south of the city and includes the Ramat Gan Safari, a zoological park where animals roam in open enclosures.

A Ramat Gan map poster balances the regular street pattern of the residential quarters with the irregular shapes of the park, its lake and its paths. Jabotinsky Road runs east to west as a strong central axis, and the tight blocks of the Diamond Exchange district sit beside the long straight line of the highway.

01

Diamond Exchange District

A cluster of towers near the Ayalon Highway forms the commercial heart of the city. It is a small, dense block on the map with outsized importance.

02

National Park

The large green space in the south, with its lake, lawns and the Safari, breaks the urban grid with soft, curving paths and open ground.

03

Jabotinsky Road

This major artery crosses the city from west to east and connects Ramat Gan to Tel Aviv and neighbouring towns. It gives the plan a clear backbone.
