Te mapa
Ansan was laid out from the late 1970s as a planned city for industry, and the map shows it. Wide straight roads divide the land into large rectangular districts, with housing areas on one side and the long blocks of the Banwol industrial complex toward the coast. Parks and green corridors run between neighbourhoods, a sign of how carefully the plan was drawn.
To the west, the land meets Sihwa Lake, an artificial body of water formed when a seawall closed off a bay. The lake's shoreline is long and irregular, and the seawall itself carries a tidal power station, one of the largest of its kind in the world. On paper, this edge turns a straight urban grid into open water.
Further south, Daebudo and neighbouring islands belong to Ansan too, with winding coastal roads and tidal flats. The city also has one of South Korea's largest migrant communities, centred on the Wongok neighbourhood near the station. A Ansan-si map poster captures a place where engineering shaped both the streets and the sea.
A large artificial lake created by a seawall, with an indented shoreline that forms the western boundary of the city and one of the strongest shapes on the map.
Straight arterial roads and big rectangular blocks divide residential and industrial zones. The regularity gives the poster a calm, almost architectural look.
Linked to the mainland by the seawall road, Daebudo brings coves, tidal flats and small winding roads to the southern part of the city's territory.

Koteā ko Ansan-si
Ansan is a city many people moved to for work, and for them it holds first jobs, first flats and new friendships. A map of its grid and coastline is a quiet way to mark that chapter of life.
The poster can carry your own title, a subtitle with a date or a name, and a coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 HD download or a printed poster shipped from a nearby partner.
