Te mapa
Incheon sits on the west coast of Korea, where the Seoul metropolitan area meets the Yellow Sea. From above, the coastline looks engineered rather than natural. Straight seawalls, rectangular reclaimed districts and dredged channels push out into water that has one of the largest tidal ranges in Asia. Inland, the older city follows low hills and valleys in a more irregular pattern.
The old harbour district around Jung-gu shows the city's first layer: tight streets near the port, the Chinatown quarter and the small island of Wolmido tied to the mainland. South and west, newer districts such as Songdo were laid out on reclaimed land with wide boulevards, central parks and waterfront grids. On paper the difference between the two eras is clear.
Offshore, Yeongjong Island holds Incheon International Airport, with its runways drawn in long parallel strokes. The island connects to the mainland by long bridges, including the Incheon Bridge across open water. The harbour is also where the Allied landing of September 1950 took place. An Incheon map poster brings together old port streets, new grids and the sea between them.

One of Korea's longest bridges runs across open sea from Songdo to Yeongjong Island. On the poster it appears as a single thin line over empty water.
Songdo was built on land reclaimed from tidal flats, with a planned grid, straight canal-like waterways and a large central park. Its straight edges contrast with the older, hilly port streets.

Koteā ko Incheon
Incheon is often the first and last place travellers see in Korea, so many people hang it as a reminder of an arrival, a departure or a posting abroad. Others know the harbour, Songdo or the island neighbourhoods as home and want to see them together.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a date or a neighbourhood name, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 HD digital file or a printed poster.
