Te mapa
Anyang sits directly south of Seoul in Gyeonggi-do, and from above it looks like a dense city fitted into a valley. Forested mountains, including the slopes of Gwanaksan and Surisan, frame the built-up area and leave clear green gaps on the map. Through the middle runs the Anyangcheon, a stream that flows north toward the Han River, with long parkland along its banks.
The city grew quickly as Seoul expanded, and part of it was planned from scratch. Pyeongchon, a new town built in the early 1990s, shows as a tidy block of apartment complexes laid out on a regular grid, which stands out against the older, less regular streets around Anyang Station. Subway lines 1 and 4 cross the city and link it to the capital.
An Anyang-si map poster captures a very Korean kind of urban landscape: tight residential blocks, broad arterial roads and mountains that simply stop the city where they begin. Because the green areas are so large, the print has a strong balance of dense and empty space. Anyang Art Park, in a valley at the foot of the mountains, adds another pocket of openness to the south.
The stream winds north through the city toward the Han River, lined with walking and cycling paths that show as a continuous green corridor between the neighbourhoods.
A planned district from the early 1990s, its regular grid of large apartment blocks contrasts clearly with the older, more organic street pattern around it.
Gwanaksan and Surisan press against the city's edges, so the built-up area ends abruptly in wide, quiet fields of forest on the map.

Koteā ko Anyang-si
For many people Anyang is where they actually lived while working or studying in the Seoul area, the place with the apartment, the station and the stream-side walks. A map of it is personal in a way a Seoul skyline rarely is.
Add your own title, a subtitle with a move-in date, and a coordinates line pointing to a particular building. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit a small apartment wall or a larger living room.
