Gwangmyeong Map Poster & Print

Gwangmyeong borders Seoul to the southwest and is separated from it partly by the Anyangcheon stream. It is small in area and densely built. From above, you see blocks of apartment complexes, a busy grid of roads, and green hills on its southern and western edges.

The city is known for Gwangmyeong Cave, a former gold mine turned into a cultural venue with exhibitions and a wine cellar. In its southern part is Gwangmyeong Station, a stop on the KTX high-speed line, where a large new district of shops and housing has grown up.

A Gwangmyeong map poster captures a city pressed close to the capital yet clearly its own. The stream on one side, the hills on the other, and the planned district around the station give it a defined shape.

01

Anyangcheon edge

The stream runs along the city's eastern side, making a clear natural boundary with Seoul that is easy to trace on the map.

02

Station district

Wide roads and large new blocks surround the KTX station in the south, a more open pattern than the older neighbourhoods.

03

Southern hills

Wooded hills frame the city to the south and west. The cave is among them, and they give the dense grid a green border.
