Te mapa
Bandar-e Kong sits on the Persian Gulf coast of Hormozgan province, just east of Bandar Lengeh. From above, the town is shaped by its shoreline, a long curve of coast with the older quarter packed closely behind it and newer streets spreading inland across flat, dry ground.
Kong is known for its traditional architecture, including houses with windcatchers, or badgirs, designed to cool interiors in the intense heat. The town also has a long tradition of building lenj, the wooden dhows used for trade and fishing across the Gulf, a craft passed down through generations of local shipwrights.
A Bandar-e Kong map poster captures a town turned toward the sea. The coastline gives a sweeping outer edge, the older lanes form a dense, irregular texture, and the land behind opens out. Printed in Sand or Paper, it carries the muted light of the southern Iranian coast.
The town follows a long, gentle curve of the Persian Gulf coast, giving the map a strong natural boundary on the seaward side.
Narrow, irregular lanes near the water mark the older part of town, where traditional houses with windcatchers still stand.
Newer streets spread inland in a more regular pattern, showing how the town has grown beyond its historic waterfront.
