Te mapa
Beli is a town in Taraba State in northeastern Nigeria, in the broad savanna country south of the Benue River. The state takes its name from the Taraba River, one of several rivers that cross the region on their way to the Benue. From above, the town is a compact cluster of compounds and streets where local roads meet.
Houses are often grouped in compounds, which gives the built-up area a grainy, cellular texture on the map. Farmland surrounds the town in every direction, broken by grassland and by lines of trees along streams. Further south and east, the land climbs toward the Mambilla Plateau, the highest ground in Nigeria.
A Beli map poster reduces the town to its essentials: a few main roads, the dense cluster of compounds at the centre and fine tracks running out into the fields. It is a quiet composition, suited to anyone who knows the place and wants a clear, graphic record of it.
The town gathers where its main roads meet. Buildings are most densely packed around this junction, which forms the visual centre of the map.
Groups of houses set around shared yards give the built-up area a fine, cellular grain that reads clearly in black and white.
Beyond the town, tracks and paths lead across farmland and grassland toward outlying villages, drawn as thin lines across wide open space.

Koteā ko Beli
Many Nigerians keep a strong connection to their home towns and return for festivals, weddings and family events. A map of Beli brings that connection into a Lagos apartment, a London flat or a student room as a clear reminder of where the family began.
Add a family name, a date or a short dedication to the title and subtitle. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files, with no watermark.
