Te mapa
Bibo is a town in Guizhou, the mountainous province of southwest China where flat land is rare and settlements follow whatever level ground the valleys allow. On a map, the built-up area forms a tight cluster rather than a spread-out grid, with roads curving around the base of the hills instead of crossing them.
The wider region is known for its karst landscape of steep limestone hills, streams and terraced fields, and much of Guizhou is home to Miao, Dong and other minority communities. At Bibo's scale, these patterns show up as winding lanes, small watercourses and paths that climb away from the centre along the valley sides.
A Bibo map poster captures a place that rarely appears on printed maps at all. Its outline is modest, but the way the streets bend to fit the terrain gives the print a hand-drawn quality. It suits anyone with roots in the area or anyone drawn to how mountain towns organise themselves.
The main part of town sits on the flattest available ground, so the densest street pattern forms a compact core with lighter development trailing along the roads.
Instead of straight lines, the roads follow contours and streams, curving around hills and leaving irregular, organic shapes between them.
Beyond the edge of town, the map opens into sparse paths and small settlements scattered across the hillsides, which gives the composition plenty of quiet space.

Koteā ko Bibo
A small town like Bibo is often where family stories begin. Hanging its map keeps a specific place in view, one that larger atlases tend to reduce to a single dot.
Personalise the title, add a subtitle in any wording you like, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to match the room it will hang in.
