Te mapa
Cổ Lóa lies in Đông Anh, across the Red River and north of central Hanoi. On a detailed map it has one of the most remarkable outlines in Vietnam. The remains of an ancient citadel curve around the village in irregular loops of earthen ramparts and moats. Lanes, ponds and small fields fill the spaces between them.
Tradition links the citadel to King An Dương Vương, who made it the capital of the kingdom of Âu Lạc in the third century BC. Legend describes its walls as a spiral, and three concentric lines of rampart are still visible in the landscape today. Temples and a communal house stand within the inner enclosure and keep the site in active use for remembrance and annual festivals.
On a Cổ Lóa map poster, the ancient earthworks appear as soft, looping lines running through the modern village. Around them lie the water and field divisions typical of the Red River delta. It is a quiet, archaeological kind of map. It means a lot to anyone with roots in Hanoi's northern districts or a fascination with the long story of Vietnamese cities.

Small ponds, channels and field boundaries are scattered across the surrounding land. This fine delta texture fills the space between the rampart lines.
At the heart of the site, temples and a communal house cluster inside the innermost ring. The lanes converge on this historic core.

Koteā ko Cổ Lóa
Few places show an ancient capital still traced so clearly in the ground. A poster of Cổ Lóa connects a present-day neighbourhood of Hanoi with the country's founding legends. It works both as a personal keepsake and as a piece of historical cartography.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or a date, fine-tune the coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Print partners in more than 30 countries ship posters on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
