Village lane clusters
Older settlements appear as dense clusters of narrow, winding alleys, often around small ponds. They keep the organic pattern of northern Vietnamese villages.

Te mapa
Dại Mỗ lies on the western side of Hanoi, in the area where the old city's growth has reached former agricultural villages. The map shows two distinct patterns side by side. One is the tight, irregular lanes of traditional village cores, grouped around ponds and communal houses. The other is the broad, straight streets of new residential developments with their rows of apartment towers.
Like much of Hanoi's outer ring, the ward has been reshaped over the last few decades as the capital expanded westward. Major roads link it to the city centre and to neighbouring districts, and new urban areas have filled much of the land that was once fields. Waterways and remaining ponds still show on the map as small, bright voids among the buildings.
A Dại Mỗ map poster captures a place in transition, where older and newer ways of living sit only a few streets apart. For residents it is a portrait of everyday routes: the alley to the market, the main road into town, the tower block that went up a few years ago. In a minimalist style those contrasts show up clearly.
Older settlements appear as dense clusters of narrow, winding alleys, often around small ponds. They keep the organic pattern of northern Vietnamese villages.
Recent developments show up as large rectangular parcels with straight internal streets and repeated tower footprints. They are a clear sign of Hanoi's westward growth.
Wide roads cut through the ward and connect it to central Hanoi and the surrounding districts. They form the main lines that hold the rest of the composition together.
