Te mapa
Itupeva lies in the interior of São Paulo state, in the hilly country between Jundiaí and Campinas, one of the busiest transport corridors in Brazil. The old town centre is small and compact, but on a map the municipality has spread well beyond it. New residential neighbourhoods, gated communities and business districts are scattered across the green slopes.
The area has long been known for fruit growing, especially grapes, and small farms and vineyards still appear among the newer developments. Itupeva is also home to the Wet'n Wild water park, which draws visitors from across the São Paulo metropolitan area. On an Itupeva map poster these contrasts sit side by side, with rural lanes next to planned subdivisions.
Major highways pass nearby, and their broad curves and interchanges frame the town. Large logistics warehouses appear as bold rectangles along the roads, and streams and patches of forest run through the valleys in between. In black and white, the result is a layered drawing of a place in transition, from farming town to part of a growing metropolitan belt.
A small grid of streets around the historic core forms the densest part of the map, the point from which the modern town has expanded in every direction.
Residential neighbourhoods and gated communities follow the contours of the surrounding hills, and their curving streets and loops create intricate shapes across the slopes.
Nearby highways and the large logistics buildings along them form strong straight lines and bold rectangles, giving the edges of the print a crisp, industrial rhythm.
