Te mapa
Kiến Hưng lies in the Hà Đông area on the southwestern side of Hanoi, where the city has expanded rapidly into former farmland. On a map it combines two very different textures. Older village settlements have tightly packed, irregular lanes. Newly planned urban areas have broad, regular streets with apartment towers and rows of townhouses. Ponds and remnants of fields fill the gaps between them.
This mix is typical of Hanoi's growing edge, where the Red River delta's village pattern of ponds and narrow alleys is gradually being surrounded by modern development. Wide roads link the area with central Hà Đông and the rest of the capital. New blocks are laid out in straight rows beside older clusters that have grown over generations.
A Kiến Hưng map poster records this change as it happens: dense village alleys, the geometric new neighbourhoods, the scattered water surfaces and the main roads connecting them. It suits residents who moved into the new districts, families rooted in the old villages, and anyone interested in how Hanoi is reshaping the land at its edges.
Older settlements appear as compact clusters of narrow, winding alleys. They are the densest and most intricate areas of the map and keep the pattern of the delta's traditional villages.
Planned developments bring straight streets, regular blocks and rows of townhouses. Their geometry contrasts clearly with the village clusters beside them and is easy to read even at small sizes.
Ponds, small lakes and remaining patches of paddy are scattered across the area. These quiet open shapes break up the street network and soften the composition.
