Te mapa
Laoag is the capital of Ilocos Norte, near the northwestern tip of Luzon. The Laoag River runs along the city's edge on its way to the South China Sea, a few kilometres to the west. On a map, the city is a compact grid centred on its plazas, with roads fanning out across the flat coastal plain.
The best-known landmark is St. William's Cathedral and its separate bell tower, often called the Sinking Bell Tower because it has gradually settled into the soft ground. The tower stands apart from the church, a small detail that shows clearly on a detailed street map. Laoag's airport lies to the west, toward the coast.
A Laoag map poster shows a tidy provincial capital with a river at its side and open country beyond. The regular blocks of the centre, the bridge crossings and the roads running out to the coast and the Ilocos towns make a clean, balanced composition.
The wide Laoag River runs along the city's edge, crossed by road bridges. Its broad channel and sandbars give the map a strong natural boundary.
St. William's Cathedral and its freestanding Sinking Bell Tower sit near the centre. The tower has settled noticeably over the centuries and is one of the region's best-known sights.
The city core follows a regular grid of short blocks around its plazas. It's a classic Spanish-era Philippine town plan, easy to read from above.

Koteā ko Laoag
Ilocanos keep strong ties to home wherever they end up, and a map of Laoag is a direct way to bring the city's streets and river along. It fits equally well in a Manila apartment or a house overseas.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a family name or a homecoming date. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
