Te mapa
Morales is a town in the Izabal Department of eastern Guatemala, in the low, humid valley of the Motagua River. From above, the town stretches along its main roads, with a grid of streets filling the area between them and cultivated land spreading out in all directions. The flat terrain lets the street pattern extend without much interruption.
The town lies near the main highway that connects Guatemala City with Puerto Barrios on the Caribbean coast, and much of the surrounding land has long been used for banana plantations and cattle. On the map, large, regular plantation blocks and drainage channels contrast with the smaller, denser streets of town.
A Morales map poster shows a lowland town defined by transport and agriculture. The regular town grid, the long highway and the geometric fields around it make a clear, strong composition, with rivers and streams adding curving lines through the landscape.
A regular grid of streets forms the town center, with blocks that grow looser and larger toward the edges where town meets farmland.
The main road toward the Caribbean coast forms a long, strong line near town, one of the key routes of eastern Guatemala.
Around town, large rectangular fields and straight drainage lines create a geometric pattern that fills the outer parts of the poster.
