Te mapa
Nonsan lies in South Chungcheong Province, on the fertile lowlands that drain towards the Geum River. The compact urban centre grew around the railway and a small stream. Beyond it, the map opens into a patchwork of rectangular farm fields and scattered villages, with low wooded hills in the distance. The Tapjeong Reservoir, a large irrigation lake, lies east of the city and forms a broad area of water on the map.
The name is familiar to many South Korean men because the Korea Army Training Center, where many conscripts begin their military service, is located here. The city is also known for strawberries and hosts a well-known annual strawberry festival. Gwanchoksa Temple is famous for its large standing stone Buddha, known as the Eunjin Mireuk.
A Nonsan map poster pairs a small, dense city centre with wide, carefully divided farmland. Straight field edges, curving hill roads and the reservoir give the print a layered, balanced look. Some people choose it to remember their family home, and others to mark the start of military service.
A large irrigation reservoir east of the city creates a broad expanse of water with an irregular, branching shoreline that follows the surrounding valleys.
Rectangular plots of rice fields and farmland cover the plains, forming a regular grid of thin lines that fills much of the composition.
The compact downtown near the railway station has the densest streets, and it stands out clearly against the open countryside around it.

Koteā ko Nonsan
For many people, Nonsan is where an important chapter began, either at home or at the training centre gates. A map of the city gives that moment a quiet, lasting form without military imagery or souvenir clichés.
