Vinhomes Ocean Park is one of Hanoi's largest recent urban developments. It was built by Vingroup on former farmland in Gia Lâm district, east of the Red River. From above it is unmistakably planned: straight avenues, evenly spaced apartment towers and low-rise villa quarters laid out in orderly blocks. At its heart are two wide artificial lakes whose curved shorelines soften the grid.
The largest water body is a saltwater lagoon with sandy edges, designed as an inland beach, and a separate freshwater lake lies nearby. On a map these two smooth shapes stand out against the rectilinear streets. VinUniversity's campus sits within the development and adds its own cluster of buildings and green space. Around the edges, older villages and rice fields show how quickly the area was transformed.
A Vinhomes Ocean Park map poster records a very recent kind of place, one where the street plan, the parks and the water were all designed at once. For residents who moved into one of the first towers, that makes the map personal. It captures the neighbourhood's original layout before years of change add their own layers.

Apartment towers stand in regular rows along straight internal avenues. In a minimalist rendering the blocks form a crisp, almost architectural pattern.
Beyond the planned streets, older village lanes and field boundaries of Gia Lâm press against the new district. They mark the line between recent construction and rural Hanoi.

Many people living in Vinhomes Ocean Park are the first to call it home. A map of the lagoons and towers is a way to mark that beginning, whether it was a first apartment, a new family or time spent studying on the university campus.
