Buyeo was Sabi, the final capital of the Baekje kingdom, from 538 until its fall in 660. The town sits in a wide bend of the Geum River, which is known locally as the Baengma River along this stretch. On a map, the river curves around the northern and western sides of the town, and the compact centre fills the land inside the bend.
Busosan, a low wooded hill on the river's edge, was the site of the royal fortress, and it appears as a green mass at the top of the town. Below it, the streets form a fairly regular grid. The Gungnamji pond, an ancient palace garden, lies to the south, and the Jeongnimsa temple site with its five-storey stone pagoda sits near the centre.
A Buyeo map poster shows the town's historic structure: a fortress hill, a riverside setting and a centre that still follows the layout of a royal capital. Several sites here are part of the Baekje Historic Areas, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.
The river loops around the town, giving the map a strong curved edge and separating the centre from the farmland across the water.
The wooded hill on the riverbank held the Baekje royal fortress. It forms a dark, irregular shape at the northern edge of the town.
A palace-era pond and garden south of the centre, visible on the map as an open space among the surrounding streets and fields.

Koteā ko Buyeo
Buyeo suits people who care about history and landscape together. The river bend and the fortress hill give the map a clear, memorable shape, and the town's small scale makes every street visible.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a date or a trip, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
